The glass is securely packaged so it doesn't break, and the LED bulb produces no heat, so the room temperature isn't affected. The convenient pedal switch allows you to tap the lamp on or off with your foot.

This Brightech lamp includes two LED bulbs rated to last 20,000 hours, which works out to a 20-year life with normal use (about 3 hours per day). You never have to replace a bulb and can save 90% on your electric bill in comparison to halogen or incandescent bulbs. Also enjoy the easy assembly, which is often done in under 5 minutes, or 10 at most. The shades are also carefully and safely packed to prevent breakage.

The Sphere weighs about 16 pounds; the base is weighted to prevent the lamp from tipping over. The lamp's total height is 65 inches, with the globes resting at 52 and 60 inches high. The globes have an outward reach of approximately 8 inches, and the base measures 11 inches across. The lamp is operated easily with the foot pedal switch built into the lamp cord. This lamp works only with 110v outlets but is safe to use in 220v outlets with a 220v-110v voltage converter.

When you purchase the Sphere, you get everything you need for assembly, no other tools needed! Just follow the easy-to-read instructional diagram and you're on your way to a well-lit life. We've also included two 9.5-watt power-saving LED bulbs. They have a natural 3000 Kelvin color temperature with 800 Lumens and will last for years before they need to be replaced. Our bulbs are not dimmable, but you can switch them out with dimmable smart bulbs if desired. The bulb base must be an E26 base and it cannot exceed 60 watts per socket (120 watts total), but can be any shape.

The Sphere works with wall switches, as well as Alexa and other smart home devices, but it needs to be connected to a smart plug to work that way. Once you have the Sphere set up and the plug connected to your smart home device, you leave the lamp in the on position and let the technology do the rest.
